Premise termiticide has been protecting homes against termite attack for more than 20 years. 

Many pest professionals may not remember, but Premise was the original non-repellent termiticide, launched in the US in 1996. Its longevity in the market results from its flexibility in use and delivering consistent results that pest managers can rely on.

Imidacloprid moves with the wetting front of the soil providing excellent lateral spread. As the soil dries, it binds with the soil particles, ensuring the treated zone maintains its integrity.

Australian trials indicate that a correctly applied Premise treatment will prevent concealed termite entry by subterranean termites for a least five years south of the Tropic of Capricorn. Bayer recommends a regular inspection (at least annually) as part of an ongoing termite management program.

Professional pest managers can use a reticulation system for pre-construction applications when applying Premise. The system used must be capable of establishing and maintaining complete and continuous treated zones around building perimeters, service penetrations and other possible termite entry points between the structure and the termite colonies in the soil (in accordance with the Australian Standard AS3660 series). This is very important, as reticulation systems that have been incorrectly installed are likely to increase the chances of concealed termite entry, due to an incomplete soil barrier.

With homeowners ‘switched on’ to safety considerations, as Premise is also registered for indoor use, and indeed the active (imidacloprid) is also used in pet flea treatment products, homeowners feel very comfortable with Premise as a termite treatment around their home.
