Agserv business consultant Andy Knox invites pest manager Liam Milligan to talk about his top pest product, asking “What is your favourite product and why?”
Liam Milligan has a long history of working in professional pest control, having started with Amalgamated Pest Control in Sydney back in 2000. Since then, he has worked in a number of senior roles within Flick and is now one of the founders of Enviro PCS (trading as Masters Pest Control) acting in the role of general manager.
Enviro PCS has grown organically over the past five years, taking over several other businesses including Morrow Pest Control, Urban Pest Management, Masters Pest Control and Able Pest Control. The Sydney-based business is built on a combination of residential plus a significant proportion of commercial customers.
It was the commercial side of the business that had Mr Milligan looking for an effective, economical and quiet fogging machine. His company holds contracts to service all kinds of commercial premises, everything from pet food storage facilities to government-owned properties, so he needed a fogger that could treat stored product pests in warehouses both large and small.
Mr Milligan says he has a great deal of faith and trust in John Rutledge who specialises in application equipment for Agserv in Sydney.
“John recommended the VectorFog C150 Plus ULV Cold Fogger as the ideal solution to my requirements,” said Mr Milligan. “John explained that the VectorFog C150 Plus is lighter and significantly quieter than earlier models and took the time to explain how the fogger had been enhanced compared with previous models.”
Mr Rutledge outlined the main features of the VectorFog C150 Plus Fogger. With a new larger six-litre tank, 1250-watt Samsung motor and a fully adjustable droplet size from 5-50 microns, the C150 Plus would provide Mr Milligan with years of durability and performance. The fogger allows for a spray distance of up to eight metres at an angle of up to 80° making it ideal for applying most types of fungicides, disinfectants, biocides and insecticides. The C150 Plus would also allow Mr Milligan to cover 100 sqm in less than a minute, allowing him to treat his larger commercial properties quickly. Weighing only 4.5 kg would also reduce user fatigue compared with older, heavier fogging units.
Enviro PCS has been using the C150 Plus Fogger for about a year now and the 12 technicians on the team are more than satisfied with the results. The fogger is being used with Envu’s Aqua K-Othrine, which is registered for the control of mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, spiders and stored product pests. For Mr Milligan and his team, this combination of equipment and insecticide has proven to be very effective, with no callbacks.
“Fogging is the ideal way of applying insecticide in enclosed areas to control a wide variety of stored product pests as well as other crawling and flying insect pests,” he said. “Using a fogging machine offers us many advantages for controlling stored product pests. The C150 fogger is designed to disperse a fine mist of insecticide into the air, giving thorough coverage of the entire enclosed area, reaching places that can easily be missed or are difficult to treat with traditional sprays.”
The low weight, large capacity, and competitive price of the C150 Plus Fogger has made it the ideal addition to his business, and he will look to add another as his team and commercial customer base grows.
