Reintroducing the Altis Reticulation System for termite management, which is now available from Greenzone.
The Altis Reticulation System was introduced to the market over 20 years ago and quickly established itself as a revolutionary advancement in termite protection. Unlike conventional systems that rely on perforated pipes with limited control over chemical distribution, Altis features a uniquely engineered pipe with no holes. Instead, it utilises scientifically designed emitters moulded directly into the pipe to deliver treatment. These emitters operate at very low pressure, ensuring the correct amount of chemical is delivered to all areas being treated with remarkable accuracy.
Each emitter also acts as a backflow preventer, protecting the system from grit and root intrusion. While other systems typically require a pump-up point every 15 to 30 metres, the Altis system only needs one every 50 metres, effectively covering up to 100 metres from a single pump-up station.
A new owner, a new product
In March 2024, Greenzone acquired Altis Pty Ltd, becoming the new distributor of the Altis Reticulation System. New packaging was introduced to improve installation and handling. The Altis pipe, supplied in a boxed roll with a central core, prevents tangling and makes both storage and deployment easier.

After more than two decades, it was time to improve usability and apply the latest scientific advancements to the trusted Altis Reticulation System – resulting in the creation of the Altis Pro.
The Altis Pro features a thicker-walled pipe, eliminating the need for the previously attached plastic sheeting. Its redesigned emitters have a larger filtering area, reducing the risk of clogging and allowing for improved chemical flow. This results in faster pump-up times and less time required on site.
Designed with precision, efficiency, and long-term sustainability, this proven reticulation system ensures consistent chemical replenishment year after year – eliminating the hassle of messy hand-spraying and disruptive drilling.
Optimized chemical distribution
To achieve precise chemical delivery, Altis Pro integrates state-of-the-art anti-clogging technology, ensuring uninterrupted flow and even termiticide distribution. With a required flow rate of 5 L per meter, the system is engineered to ensure uniform termiticide distribution across the entire barrier. This is achieved using optimised emitter spacing – typically six emitters per metre, each delivering 1.0 L/h to 2.0 L/h at 1 bar pressure. The system has been designed to prevent clogging and flow inconsistencies, ensuring long-term reliability.

When operating at 30 KPa, the emitters adjust their flow rate accordingly. Based on standard pressureflow relationships, 1.0 L/h emitters will deliver approximately 0.6-0.7 L/h while 2.0 L/h emitters will deliver approximately 1.2-1.4 L/h. With six emitters per metre, the system achieves precise chemical distribution, ensuring optimal termite protection.
David Bregazzi, general manager at Termite Solutions, VIC, has installed many Altis reticulation systems over the years. He has seen first-hand how the redesigned Altis Pro is transforming termite management. “It used to take me hours to pump up an existing retic system, but now with Altis Pro, it takes me less than 20 minutes for a house around 80 lineal metres. Time is money for myself and my techs, and this is a game-changer. It’s strong and durable, and I love it.”
Why choose Altis Pro?
Traditional termite treatments often require reapplication, excavation, and costly maintenance. The Altis Pro Reticulation System changes the game by offering controlled-rate emitters that evenly distribute termiticide, ensuring no untreated gaps, giving optimal protection. Customers also love that there is minimal disruption, with no need for drilling or trenching when replenishing treatments.
For pest managers, the low-pressure delivery of termiticide means fast pump-up times, reducing chemical waste. The Altis system can be installed under slabs in new builds or around existing structures, giving flexible installation options.
Designed for pest managers, built for performance
Greenzone understands the challenges pest managers face, which is why Altis Pro is engineered for ease of use and maximum effectiveness, with a number of improvements being made to the product. These include the piping being made thicker, making it a sturdier product. New Altis Pro components have been simplified, such as the pump-up point that includes an Altis Pro connector, 25 mm/20 mm reducer and threaded cap. The Altis Pro Reticulation System is available in 100 m and 400 m lengths, with preassembled materials allowing for quick installation, keeping builders and concreters on schedule.
With Altis Pro, pest managers can offer clients a smarter, more cost-effective termite barrier that reduces environmental impact through its targeted delivery, while maximising efficiency. Whether protecting residential homes, commercial properties, or industrial sites, this cutting-edge system ensures lasting defence against termites – without the headaches of traditional methods.
Greenzone’s Altis Pro Reticulation System isn’t just another termite treatment – it sets a new standard for excellence in termite management. With precision engineering, effortless installation, and long-term reliability, it’s time for pest managers to upgrade their approach and embrace the future of termite control.
Using the Altis Pro System – An Overview for Pest Managers

Below is an overview of how the Altis Pro Reticulation System works to help pest managers understand how pressure impacts the flow rate and pumping time.
Step 1: Count the emitters
- Emitter spacing: Emitters are installed every 17 cm along the pipe.
- Emitters per metre: Each metre contains 6 emitters (rounded from 5.88).
- Total for 80 metres: 80 metres × 6 emitters per metre = 480 emitters.
Step 2: Flow rate per metre at different pressures
- Flow rate at 150 kPa: Let’s assume emitters deliver 3 litres per hour per emitter at this pressure (as per specifications)
6 emitters per metre × 3 L/h per emitter = 18 L/h per metre. - Flow rate at 200 kPa: At higher pressure, emitters may deliver slightly more, for example, 3.2 litres per hour (hypothetical increase).
6 emitters per metre × 3.2 L/h per emitter = 19.2 L/h per metre.
Step 3: Total flow rate for 80 metres
- At 150 kPa: 18 L/h per metre × 80 metres = 1,440 L/h.
- At 200 kPa: 19.2 L/h per metre × 80 metres = 1,536 L/h.
Step 4: Time to deliver 5 Litres per metre
- At 150 kPa: Time per metre = target volume flow rate per metre = 5 L 18 L/h ≈ 0.28 hours (or 17 minutes).
- At 200 kPa: Time per metre = target volume flow rate per metre= 5 L19.2 L/h ≈ 0.26 hours (or 16 minutes).
Step 5: Total volume of bifenthrin needed
- Regardless of pressure, the total volume remains: 80 metres × 5 L/m = 400 litres
| Pressure | Flow Rate per Metre (L/h) | Total Flow Rate (L/h) | Time per Metre (mins) | Total Volume (L) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 150 kPa | 18 | 1,440 | ~17 | 400 |
| 200 kPa | 19.2 | 1,536 | ~16 | 400 |
