The Termite Professional Seminar series is being held in cities across Australia this June.
The Termite Professional Seminar series is being held in June. Hosted by Professional Pest Manager, these educational 1-day events are being hosted in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
“These seminars are a great opportunity for pest managers to attend a local educational event. With no Australian industry conference this year and increased transport costs, pest managers can access world-class educational events right on their doorstep,” commented Dr Phil Ridley, director at Professional Pest Manager.
The seminars will cover termite biology and behaviour, as well as a deep dive into how termite products actually work. Two world-class researchers will be presenting: Dr Theo Evans, Australia’s leading termite expert, from the University of Western Australia; and Dr Johnalyn Gordon from the University of Florida. The content will include an overview of the termite basics as well as some of the latest research, including Dr Evans’ work on wood consumption rates, which can be useful in determining how long termites may have been present in a building.
“The seminar has been set up to appeal to both newbies and seasoned professionals, which means all pest managers will get something out of the event. It’s a great way to ensure you and your team maintain their termite knowledge to ensure excellence in the field and keep your competitive edge,” added Dr Ridley.
With the events held between June 15-19, interested pest managers should head to the seminar information page to make a last-minute booking.
