Sundew Solutions has met the need for eco-conscious professional pest products with the launch of its ecowise range.
In early September 2025, Sundew Solutions held a national roadshow to launch its new ecowise range. The product information and training events were designed for pest management professionals, trainers, and reseller partners looking to provide new product options for eco-conscious customers.
Across Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, more than 350 industry professionals came together to hear Sundew introduce three innovative products developed specifically for the Australian professional pest management market: Spinogel Roach with Natural Spinosad; Spinout 133 SC Insecticide with Natural Spinosad; and McFly BaitSpray with Natural Spinosad. Presenters at the events included Adam Wilton, Warwick Madden, Mark Linton and David Priddy (pictured above, left to right).
“Launching three innovations at once is something rarely seen in our industry,” said David Priddy, CEO of Sundew Solutions. “Each of these products represents years of research, refinement, and a commitment to bringing practical, environmentally responsible tools to Australian pest managers.”
At the heart of the ecowise range is spinosad, a natural insecticide that is new to the Australian pest control industry. Derived from a naturally occurring soil bacterium, Saccharopolyspora spinosa, spinosad produces compounds called spinosyns. They act on the insect nervous system with a novel mode of action (Group 5), and are lethal to a wide range of pests yet have low toxicity to humans, pets and livestock, and have no adverse environmental impact.
Mr Priddy explained, “Spinosad offers fast-acting, targeted control while being derived from nature. For the first time, professionals can deliver serious results using a naturally derived active ingredient. It’s the perfect bridge between performance and sustainability.” A key message from the launch was that the ecowise range is not meant to replace traditional products but rather to be included in a pest manager’s toolkit as a specialised option for eco-conscious residential and commercial customers, particularly sensitive accounts.
“With the ecowise range we’re leading a shift in how our industry thinks about innovation, responsibility, and performance. Pest managers want solutions that not only work, but also align with their customers’ values,” added Mr Priddy.
Sundew Solutions also provides a detailed support package for pest managers interested in incorporating the range into their services, including eco-service web page templates and marketing material.
Spinogel Roach with Natural Spinosad is APVMA approved, with stock available nationally through Agserv, David Grays, Garrards, and Globe.
Registrations for Spinout 133 SC Insecticide and McFly BaitSpray are imminent, with approvals and product release expected before the end of 2025.
