The pest industry is rallying round to aid a family in need in NSW.
Central West Pest (NSW) and FMC Specialty Solutions have lent their support to non-profit group ‘Raising a Roof 4 the Read Triplets’, by donating labour and materials for this heartwarming community initiative.
Anwen, Mahalah and Gideon Read were all born with muscular dystrophy and require wheelchairs for mobility – an average house just wasn’t accessible or big enough for all three of them, as well as their parents, Jemimah and Ben.
As you can imagine, a large project like this is difficult to manage at the best of times, but the local Canowindra community rallied behind the Reads and provided all the services, materials and guidance needed to get the roof raised.
David Brown from Central West Pest and Lindsay McRae from FMC were brought to the project by James Isaacs from Belubulah Homes to install a HomeGuard Termite Management System throughout the property.
“Central West Pest installed HomeGuard TMB in the under slab, used HomeGuard Collars on the penetrations and included HomeGuard DPC for the entire perimeter of the building. The comprehensive Homeguard system will ensure long-lasting protection for the building with no worries about sensitivities for the residents,” said Mr McRae.
“It’s great to see local and global businesses get behind such a worthy cause and to see the pest control and building industries put in a big effort to keep such a special family protected for the future.”
