PestWorld East 2025 Proves Popular in Dubai

PestWorld East 2025 offered pest control professionals from the Asia-Pacific region a valuable opportunity to come together as an industry.

A record number of delegates from across the globe came together to attend PestWorld East 2025, which was held on April 15-16, 2025 at The Palm, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Staged biennially, PestWorld East is organised by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) in partnership with product supplier Ecovar. The event aims to bring together pest management professionals from Africa, South Asia, the Middle East, and India.

Dominique Stumpf, CEO of NPMA, was delighted at the growing popularity of the event, announcing that it was attended by over 450 delegates, representing more than 50 countries.

Over the course of the two days, delegates learned from experts about the latest advances in pest biology and elimination, ways to protect public health through new service techniques, the importance of rodent control programs, and dealing with challenges in commercial accounts. Notable guest speakers included Dr Chow-Yang Lee from University of California Riverside, who presented the latest research on cockroach control, and Hakan Kjellberg from Anticimex, Sweden, who discussed the growing use of rodent monitoring equipment.

In addition to the comprehensive educational programme, delegates also had the opportunity to engage with product suppliers and explore the latest technologies from the 40 exhibitors within the exhibition hall. Stands from companies based in the Middle and Far East were joined by others from Europe, in particular the UK and Italy. With so many international delegates present, the Global Pest Management Coalition (GPMC) took the opportunity to hold an open meeting the day before PestWorld East began. Chaired by the president, Manuela Cordeiro, one of the key topics for discussion was the results of a sustainability survey sent to pest professionals in the US, Italy, Portugal, Sweden and Spain. The Sustainability Workgroup, led by Chris Gorecki, will determine the course of action based on this feedback.

In closing, Hani Shehadeh, CEO, of Ecovar said, “PestWorld East 2025 reminded us why we do what we do. It wasn’t just a conference – it was a convergence of purpose. Seeing the region’s brightest minds unite around innovation, public health and progress was deeply energizing.”

Next up in the global pest calendar is the Global Pest Management Coalition conference to be held in Hong Kong in June 2026 to coincide with World Pest Day. This event is hosted by NPMA in coordination with the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA) and the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Association (FAOPMA).

PestWorld 2026 will be held from October 20-26 in Grapevine, Texas.
