NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITY FOR MPL TRAINING, SYDNEY

NSW Training Manager Shane Rich shares an update about the changes happening at MPL Training’s Sydney branch.

Well it’s currently full steam ahead for the MPL Training team as we undergo a huge renovation at our Yennora branch in Sydney. An additional 70 sqm is being added for training purposes, as well as a board room and downstairs office area that will be used to warmly greet our students upon arrival. The plan is to make this a state-of-the-art facility where students will be able to learn in a modern way, using touch screens, digital display units, and the latest equipment. Paper-based note-taking is being replaced with online, paperless learning.

We also have some exciting new projects launching in the coming months, one of which is the implementation of new online training capabilities using Cloudemy and Formitize.

September will see MPL involved in the Agserv roadshows and staff back on the road training in Melbourne and off on a new adventure in the Northern Territory. One of our senior trainers and entomologists Gary Cochrane will be venturing over to Fiji for some specific, tailored training. This will springboard MPL to head abroad in the next 12 months as we continue to make connections with our overseas pest partners and develop training programs.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge the difficulty that some of our pest friends have experienced over the last nine months, firstly through Covid lockdowns and then due to the unprecedented amount of rain that hit the eastern seaboard. Many people in my own local area have been devastated time and time again due to flooding and getting back to business can seem a daunting task.

Supporting your local community is not only the right thing to do but is good for business and as an industry it’s important to support each other and provide an environment where those in trouble can reach out for help.
