Following his announcement to step down as AEPMA president, David Gay will be handing over the reins to current vice president, Vasili Tsoutouras.
At the recent AEPMA National Board meeting, David Gay decided to stand down as national President. Mr Gay will remain on the National Board for another year as Immediate Past President.
Mr Gay has been President of AEPMA for seven years and on the National Board for ten years. He has made an enormous contribution to the Association and will continue to do so. Mr Gay decided it was time for ‘new blood’ in the role of President and existing Board member and vice president Vasili Tsoutouras was elected unopposed as David Gay’s successor.
Mr Tsoutouras is a director of Allstate Pest Control, a family-owned and operated business, servicing South Australian homes and businesses since 1986. Since then, they have grown from a three-man team to now employing over 25 people.
He started in the business under the guidance of his father,Peter, some 10 years ago. He has a great passion for the business and the pest management industry which has seen him hold previous positions with AEPMA, such as the director for South Australia, and more recently as the vice president of the National Board.
He currently sits on the Australian Standards committee, and manages, and is one of the judges for ‘Pest Manager of the Year’. This dedication shows his true commitment to the on-going success and growth of AEPMA and the pest control industry as a whole, and welcome him as the new President.
