Professional Pest Manager magazine enters a new era with a new owner taking the reins.
After five years at the helm, John Forrest and Jeff Gilbert (pictured) have sold Professional Pest Manager magazine to Dr Phil Ridley. As lifelong ‘ag boys’, this will allow them to focus on their agricultural publications: Rural Business and Tree Crop.
“We have enjoyed our time as the publishers of Professional Pest Manager and have met some amazing and passionate people in the pest control industry,” said Mr Gilbert. “In handing the reins of the magazine to Phil, we feel the publication will go on to provide bigger and better things for the industry.
“With the wider discussion about the value of print media, we hear nothing but positive comments about the magazine from our readers. They appreciate the opportunity to read, in a hard copy, the things that matter for their business. We look forward to keeping in touch with the industry and to watch its progress,” said Mr Gilbert.
“The growth of the magazine would not have been possible without the fantastic support of our contributors and the industry suppliers,” commented Mr Forrest. “We have been well supported and encouraged by industry suppliers and our editorial contributors and we hope that it has helped make your business more sustainable and importantly, more profitable.”
Taking on this new challenge, Dr Ridley commented, “We’re really excited about the possibilities. We have a number of new ideas to increase engagement and continue to improve the publication and, as always, feedback from readers is most welcome. With our knowledge of pest control, marketing and publishing we believe we can further develop Professional Pest Manager magazine as the leading information source for the pest control industry.”
