Cancellation of FAOPMA Pest-Summit has been announced following a press release from the FAOPMA Executive Committee.
On May 2, FAOPMA (Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Association) and TEPMA (Taiwan Environmental Pest Management Association) jointly announced the cancellation of the FAOPMA Pest-Summit 2023, which was scheduled to take place from September 12-14 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The decision was made following the resignation of four FAOPMA executive committee members, including the president and the vice president.
The resignations were followed by five member associations – from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines – submitting letters to withdraw from FAOPMA.
The FAOPMA executive committee has proposed a restructuring plan for review at the next general meeting. Planning for the FAOPMA-Pest Summit 2024 in India is underway.
