EDUCON OPEN TO ALL

Rapid Solutions reminds pest managers that the 2019 EduCON event is open to anyone with an interest in attending.

Contrary to popular belief, the biennial conference held by Rapid Solutions is open to everyone – even if you are not a client of the training and insurance provider. All are welcome to attend the 2019 event, which is being held on the Gold Coast from August 8-11.

Nikki Garrard, business growth manager for Rapid Solutions, explained that the name of the conference had been changed to EduCON to reflect a broader style of event. “It is really important for us also to ensure that people working in the sector felt they could attend even if they were not a client of Rapid Solutions,” she said.

Rapid Solutions first introduced the conference a number of years ago to provide a way for the industry to connect. It was designed to be held in the alternate year to the AEPMA conference to give people another means by which to engage with others in their industry while learning about emerging trends, regulations and innovations. Each conference attracts about 500 people and has become one of the sector’s most valuable networking and learning experiences.

“This is not an exclusive event. It is a way for interested people to access all kinds of information while making contact with a host of great speakers and exhibits,” said Ms Garrard. “We heard two years ago, from those who attended, that delegates wanted more information that would help them in the industry but also in their businesses. We are not losing our focus on the pest and building sector – far from it.

“The 2019 EduCON program has been designed to provide delegates with information about how they can do their work effectively but also practical ways that will help them in business. There will be information about how to attract and retain clients, manage business processes, support staff and be competitive.

“Exhibitors and speakers are presenting all kinds of services and products for people who are operating their own businesses right through to franchise owners as well as those who work in larger companies. Of course, there is also plenty of fun stuff that has become tradition at the conference!”

Internationally renowned business futurist Craig Rispin will be the keynote speaker. He is an innovation expert in emerging business, people and technology trends. Australian comedian Cam Knight will be the MC for the gala dinner. Mr Knight regularly performs sell-out shows across the country and has regularly appeared on television and radio.

Exhibitors, guest speakers and workshops will provide practical tips about products, technology and innovations in the pest management and building inspection. This is well supported with a huge line-up of product manufacturers and service distributors that are offering all kinds of special deals for conference delegates.

Rapid Solutions is mixing up the traditional approach to conferencing by working with exhibitors and guest presenters to provide these special deals.

“The traditional ‘goodie bag’ is being swapped out for a range of great giveaways and merchandise at exhibition stands and during workshop presentations. We understand that many of the suppliers are really raising the bar on the quality of giveaways and offers to delegates,” said Ms Garrard.

The event will again be held at the four and a half star RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast from Thursday August 8 to Sunday August 11, 2019. Delegate packages start at just $734 per person and include welcome reception, attendance to the conference on both Friday and Saturday and the gala dinner. All conference meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and morning and afternoon teas) are included. Additional social programs on Sunday August 11 and accommodation can also be added to the EduCON experience.
