This year’s Pestech series proved as popular as ever with events well-attended across the country.
The Agserv Pestech tour has now drawn to a close after hosting successful events in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide throughout August.
The focus of the presentations was ‘The Future of Professional Pest Control – Challenges and Opportunities’ with Dr Raja Mahendran in the role of keynote speaker. He delivered an insightful presentation on how we can improve our customer service and our business in general through proactive pest management and risk mitigation.
In Brisbane and the Gold Coast, specialists from The National Red Imported Fire Ant Eradication Program shared an update on their containment efforts and successes so far.
Agserv general manager Jason Green said it was great to see so many pest managers taking the opportunity to hear about what’s going on in the industry.
“Local AEPMA members shared updates on the work being done by the industry body, and attendees learned about the latest news in pest control with a record number of trade show displays to explore,” he said. “Our major sponsors – Pelsis, Bell Laboratories, Envu, Syngenta and PCT – also shared their own perspectives on the future of the pest industry.”
Pestech was also an opportunity to highlight the outstanding work being done in the field, with Dr Phil Ridley from Professional Pest Manager magazine announcing the winner of the Pest Technician of the Year award, which is sponsored by Agserv. Pestech will be back on the road in 2027.
