The Unitrak Pest Control App was developed specifically for the pest control industry. Starting from a development for a small regional pest control company, the Unitrak PC App is now used across Australia and about to be launched overseas. A little more on the Unitrak Pest Control App…
Corey Brown ran a pest control business in regional Victoria, his business was growing stronger each year and his staff grew from three to nine in quick succession. He was reading the local paper when he came across a story about a local IT business called Int Tec Mildura whose recent firewall project had just received international praise from Microsoft in the US. “Pretty impressive,” thought Mr Brown at the time.
He approached the IT company asking if it could help his pest control business automate some processes and build a customer database that suited his industry. It was 2009, and, with not a lot of information on pest control management software around at that time, a new venture began. With a lot of time and input, Mr Brown would say “I need this” or “It has to work this way” until together he and Int Tec Mildura created Unitrak Pest Control, an online CRM and app that were developed specifically for the pest control industry.
Over the following year the online scheduling for seven field technicians took shape and the pest control business moved away from giving the techs a diary and a handwritten daily run sheet. Each pest manager’s work schedule was simply printed off each morning, along with any invoices. The business soon started to save time and became better organised. The best thing was Mr Brown’s clients were happier and he was managing the team better than ever before.

Fast forward to 2018: Mr Brown is now a photographer and following his passion. He sold his pest control business a few years ago and the new owners acquired some powerful information that made the decision to buy Mr Brown’s business an easy one. The database had over 9000 customers, it was clear how many were active, and the history of five years’ worth of scheduled jobs – over 6000 jobs per year – was fully documented. Future jobs were already scheduled in for the next three years. The new business owners acquired a powerful information management setup that allowed them to easily take over and run the pest control business at their fingertips – all thanks to Mr Brown and Int Tec Mildura for building an online CRM and app.
Unitrak Pest Control is a cloud-based management software that runs on Apple and Android devices, which is used by a growing number of pest managers all over Australia and is soon to be launched in South Africa. It handles scheduling, invoicing, recurring jobs, reminders, reports and much more, all in the palm of your hand, via the Unitrak PC App.
With today’s workforce, going mobile is now the norm; people are spending more and more time on their mobile devices than ever before. Customers are experiencing a higher level of communication with SMS job reminders, they expect excellent documentation as well as any business they engage to be using technology for great service. Unitrak Pest Control was developed specifically for the pest control industry by a leading IT company and a pest control business owner, making it the obvious choice for pest managers looking to make their businesses more efficient by taking them online.
