Adama Expands its Innovative Pest Control Range

Adama Agricultural Solutions is one of the largest crop protection companies in the world, and as part of this group, Adama Australia is investing significantly to deliver innovative Pest Control solutions to the Australian market.

“We have been drawing from our extensive global portfolio, including from the USA, where Adama’s subsidiary Control Solutions Inc has forged a strong reputation for innovation and quality in the PCO market,” Melissa Willmann, Adama Australia’s PCO market development manager, explains.

“We currently o er six key products and have more innovative solutions on the horizon”. The current products available to pest managers include Warden which is Adama’s 100 g/L fipronil liquid which has been on the market for several years. “It is highly regarded for its quality as a result of the patented manufacturing process used,” Ms Willmann said.

Adama’s Venom Professional 240SC is a broad spectrum insecticide and termiticide containing 240 g/L of the active ingredient bifenthrin. The high active ingredient loading of bifenthrin at 240 g/L means a bottle lasts longer and reduces drum disposal costs.

Wasp Force is their aerosol-based formulation containing dual active ingredients; 1.3 g/kg d-allethrin and 1.3 g/kg d-phenothrin for consistent and reliable control of wasps. “Wasp Force is designed to provide a rapid knockdown with a very long spray that enables pest managers to keep their distance from nests when treating,” Ms Willmann explained.

Tekko Pro is a dual IGR combination product unique to the Australian market and contains a juvenile hormone analogue (JHA) plus a chitin synthesis inhibitor (CSI). “The JHA stops larvae becoming adults and the CSI stops moulting which causes the larvae to die as they produce an incomplete exoskeleton. Both these IGRs together ensure that larvae, no matter what stage, can’t continue to develop and cause damage as adults”.

Stryker insecticide is the latest insecticide from Adama, a pyrethrin / PBO combination

Cyzmic CS Insecticide is a high loading, micro-encapsulated suspension that has CapVantage technology allowing instant release of some capsules and longer term, slower release of others.

“This means that Cyzmic has a fast knockdown and a long-term residual, negating the need for using two products,” Ms Willmann said. Stryker Insecticide is the latest offering from Adama and contains natural pyrethrins and PBO in a very high concentration, unique to the market. “It provides a fast knockdown and can be applied via misting, fogging or surface spraying”.

“Adama Australia has a strong portfolio to cover many common pest problems and with another two new products on the way
we are proud to be offering a strong, innovative portfolio to the Australian pest control market,” Ms Willmann said.
