Safe Spray Pest Control is a close-knit team of pest management professionals that has been looking after Sydney customers for more than a decade. Leading the business is founder and national operations manager Daniel Danil.
Since starting Safe Spray 14 years ago, he has overseen Safe Spray’s growth from a Sydney-based operation into a national business, with offices and warehouses across Australia’s major states.
Bird control has been one of Mr Danil’s specialties for more than 16 years. With about 90% of Safe Spray’s work being commercial, and the remaining 10% being residential, bird management accounts for a significant part of the business. Since the beginning, Mr Danil has relied on Pelsis’ Avipoint bird spikes.
“I was introduced to Avipoint by Gary English from Globe Pest Solutions right at the start of my career,” he says. “I’ve used it ever since because the quality is consistently excellent, and the integrated glue guide makes installation quick and easy.”
Mr Danil says Avipoint performs particularly well on parapet walls, where it effectively prevents pigeons from landing and roosting.
“Every site is different, so we use a range of bird management solutions, including bird netting and the Pelsis post and wire system where appropriate,” he explains. “But Avipoint remains one of our go-to products, and I’d happily recommend it to any pest management company carrying out bird control work.”
Avipoint is a professional range of stainless steel and polycarbonate bird spikes designed to humanely discourage pest birds such as pigeons, gulls and starlings from perching or roosting on buildings. Rather than harming birds, the system simply prevents them from settling in unwanted areas.
The range is built using heavy-duty 1.4 mm 302-grade stainless steel spikes mounted on a UV-stabilised polycarbonate base. The wire tips are flat cut for added safety, while the patented glue guide makes applying adhesive quicker, cleaner and more accurate. With an expected service life of up to ten years, it’s designed to provide long-term protection.
The Avipoint range includes solutions for narrow and larger ledges, and locations with particularly heavy bird pressure. Installation is typically carried out using specialist silicone adhesives, although accessories such as Aviclips can be used where mechanical fixing is required, including on lipped gutters and steel beams.
The recent appointment of Agserv as the Australian master distributor for Pelsis products gives pest managers easy access to thethe Avipoint range nationwide.
