Bell Labs announces a new rodenticide product, with the launch of Contrac Soft Bait.
Bell Laboratories’ most trusted rodenticide bait is now available worldwide to pest management professionals in a new form: Contrac Soft Bait.
Contrac Soft Bait is Bell Laboratories’ most extensively researched and tested rodenticide. Throughout the product development process, comprehensive eld testing was conducted in both urban and rural as well as commercial and residential settings. “Our bromadiolone formulas are known for outstanding rodent acceptance and control,” said Australasian business manager Andy Knox. “So we are pleased to now offer a soft bait that we know will perform to the Contrac standard in all settings.
“Having been in the US market for over 12 months, we have found that Contrac Soft Bait is effective where some other baits aren’t. As the most thoroughly tested and researched bait Bell Laboratories has ever introduced, we are confident that this will perform as well or better than any other soft bait in Australia, too.”
Bell’s Contrac Soft Bait has a unique oil-based formulation with a precise balance between saturated and unsaturated fats, giving excellent rodent acceptance and control. “Our block baits are largely based on a mixture of grains, which is appealing to rodents in most instances as it usually meets the requirements that they’re looking for from a food source,” explained Mr Knox. “However, in some cases, rats and mice may be looking for something different.
“Contrac Soft Bait is made with a high percentage of fats and oils – ingredients that aren’t included in our block baits, but are frequently sought out by rodents. Contrac Soft Bait also won’t melt, mould or freeze, meaning it will stay more palatable for longer.”
The soft bait is designed to withstand almost any climate and the manufacturing process ensures maximum contact of the paper sachet to the soft bait, further maximising bait acceptance.
Contrac Soft Bait is available in two new pail sizes: 1.8 kg and 7.25 kg. These new pails are clearly differentiated from all other Bell Laboratories’ pails with an orange lid for ease of identi cation by distributors and pest managers. Contrac Soft Bait is available in 10 g sachets with a minimum mouse placement of one sachet and a minimum rat placement of 2-10 sachets.
Contrac Soft Bait is available from major distributors now. Pest managers looking for information should contact their local Bell technical representative.
