PPM recognises the passing of two key figures within our industry.
Albert ‘Jack’ Flick
In the 1950s, Albert “Jack” Flick and his brother took over the running of WA Flick and Company. With his passion for travel, he became the rural face for WA Flick and Co in country and remote areas. Over the next 30 years, WA Flick and Company grew to become the largest pest control company in Australia before its sale in 1986.
Mr Flick passed away on 10th January 2016, aged 94 years. “A life well lived.”
Allen Schofield
Allen Schofield was a key figure in the pest control industry, known for his teaching and training. His passion for pest control and passing on his knowledge started in the 1980s and he held the position of head TAFE teacher in Urban Pest Control, in Sydney, for more than 10 years. More recently he has been running several pest control companies in Queensland with his son, Max Schofield.
Mr Schofield passed away on the 2nd February 2016. “It’s a credit to what one man can achieve.”
