Nominations are now open for AEPMA’s Pest Manager of the Year Awards 2022.
AEPMA is pleased to announce that nominations for Pest Manager of the Year awards 2022 are now open. These awards aim to recognise the most progressive pest management firms who keep up with the latest innovations and focus on professional development and responsive customer service. All pest management firms within Australia are eligible for nomination.
“The business feedback provided to all finalists by the awards panel helps them to improve their businesses in many ways,” said AEPMA President Vasili Tsoutouras.
“Typically, those who have won a Pest Manager of the Year award have benefited from increased consumer exposure and increased sales. This has resulted in businesses increasing their turnover and in turn improving their operational efficacy.”
Categories for this year’s competition are as follows:
- Business Award: (two classes, from which the National Pest Manager of the Year will be awarded):
- Pest Management firms employing ten or more people
- Pest management firms employing fewer than ten people
- Micro Business:
- Pest management businesses with fewer than three employees
- South Pacific Pest Manager of the Year:
- Open to AEPMA-member businesses both large and small, operating in the South Pacific Region.
Why enter the 2022 Pest Manager of the Year awards? It is a chance for pest managers to promote their business to industry peers and the public, with the benefit of increasing their profile and profitability after winning such a prestigious award.
Thomas Aldridge from Suburban Pest Management, the 2021 Pest Manager of the Year winner, believes the benefits were numerous.
“Promoting this [award win] in our advertising will hopefully pick up many new clients but what we really hope is that it helps put Suburban Pest Management on the map within the industry. Our vision is ‘to be the go-to company for pest management in Australia’. This relates to not just the consumer, but to industry governing bodies, suppliers and manufacturers, other pest management companies, pest technicians and anyone else employed in the industry.
“As we continue to grow, we hope this [award win] helps immensely with our recruitment and that more great team members will want to join us in the next 12 months!”
BASF will once again sponsor the Pest Manager of the Year awards – testament to the importance of recognising and rewarding businesses that show outstanding commitment to pest control.
David Elmouttie, BASF business manager for Professional and Specialty Solutions, commented, “Each year we receive an impressive range of entries. We are excited to be involved in the process once again to discover the amazing contributions being made by pest control businesses that are helping our industry grow, evolve and thrive.”
Nominations will close on April 29 with winners being announced at Pesticon 2022 on the Gold Coast.
