AGSERV PESTECH 2017

Pest managers have once again taken the opportunity to hear from industry figures at the annual Pestech trade show.

Agserv kicked off its Pestech 2017 trade show with its ‘City Series’ of events across Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane, held in July.

This year saw a slightly different format, with Dr Theo Evans being the keynote speaker. His presentation ‘Coptotermes: the curious case of how it became Australia’s worst pest – and how this may change’ provided much food for thought.

Dr Mark Walker, development and technical lead at FMC Specialty Solutions, gave the presentation ‘Knowing Your Chemistry’. This provided attendees with a great insight into the importance of choosing the correct chemistry and highlighted the opportunity in taking a combined approach when using products to achieve the best outcome for the situation to be managed.

Wide-ranging supplier presentations delivered product updates, treatment tips and practical ideas to help improve businesses and the tradeshow provided the opportunity for pest managers to view new products and have valuable one-on-one discussions.

“We were overwhelmed with the response,” enthused Jason Green, general manager at Agserv. “With over 400 pest managers attending across the four cities, it was a fantastic start to our best series yet.

“On behalf of the entire Agserv team, I would like to sincerely thank Dr Theo Evans, Dr Mark Walker, our supplier sponsors and particularly all the attendees for making this event such a great success.

“We look forward to Pestech 2018 with great anticipation.”Pest managers have once again taken the opportunity to hear from industry figures at the annual Pestech trade show.
