Pest managers are invited to attend this year’s Rapid Solutions Conference, introduced by guest speaker Allan Pease.
What does body language have to do with the pest control sector?
‘Mr Body Language’ himself, Allan Pease, will be the keynote speaker at the Rapids Solutions Conference, the pest industry’s major conference for 2017, to be held from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 August at Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.
Communication expert and bestselling author, Mr Pease, is recognised as a relationship, sales and negotiation expert renowned for his motivating talks and advice on winning people over.
More than 40 leading speakers and commentators from the pest management and building inspection industry will join Mr Pease at the event. There are four streams of seminars and workshops covering topics such as the latest pest control news and products, business operations, insurance and compliance, inspections, and personal and professional development.
Two of the confirmed speakers highlight the drive to provide interesting and educational content:
- ‘Beneficial Spiders in Back gardens’, Dr Lizzy Lowe will speak about spider ecology and the important role they play in pest control
- ‘The Unusual Breeding Systems of Termites’, Dr Nathan Lo will discuss some of the odd ways termites populate their colonies.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to visit a large trade exhibition, which includes information stands and activities from more than 25 organisations. Not only will the event be educational, but as always, a range of social events will provide excellent networking opportunities to meet and connect with others in the industry.
After registering for the conference, attendees will be treated to welcome reception drinks sponsored by Syngenta at the Royal Pines Hydrate Bar. There is a gala dinner to be held on Friday evening, with entertainment from well-known comedian and actor, Dave Thornton. The dinner is sponsored by BASF and will include the announcement of the AEPMA Pest Manager of the Year award.
Saturday night is an opportunity to wind down after the conference and have a laugh with colleagues over a game of bumper soccer, laser clay target shooting or Segway Olympics, sponsored by FMC. Sunday morning will see the tee off of the four-player Ambrose golf tournament at the exclusive Royal Pines course.
Early bird registrations, which close 31 May, start from just $513 for the two-day conference package or $545 for the full program. FMC is offering a prize of four night’s accommodation onsite for one lucky delegate who registers before 31 May. Registrations can be made by visiting the Rapid Solutions website and clicking through to the 2017 Conference site.
The conference is open to all; you do not need to be a Rapid Solutions client to attend.
