AEPMA’s president invites pest managers to take part in the annual general meeting – details below.
The business of running AEPMA is in full swing for 2017 with membership renewals almost completed, Pest Manager of the Year Nominations being sort through, Codes of Practice being completed and started, planning for the 2018 National Conference underway and several other initiatives being managed.
In our pest control business the busy season is gradually starting to slow down and thinking about working on our team, our business and ourselves, is becoming front of mind. Coming into winter used to be filled with dread for me after the excitement of the summer period, but as I have grown I have found winter to be a chance for renewal, growth and improvement, which underpins the next busy season. I see an opportunity for improvement in AEPMA, in helping our industry improve through training and the offer of management systems, which we as a National Board have been and will continue to work on in the background.
The Annual General Meeting for AEPMA is planned for Thursday 18 May at 8am AEST by teleconference and I would encourage all AEPMA members to dial in and participate in the national forum. I would also take this opportunity to continue to encourage you all in getting involved in branch meetings, putting your hands up for national working group positions.
If none of the above takes your interest, make time to visit the roadshows that our suppliers and manufacturers offer over the next few months.
As always I look forward to reporting our progress in the next issue on all things happening at AEPMA.
Until next time, I wish you all the best and trust all is going well within your business.
Vasili Tsoutouras
AEPMA President
