Organisers of the 2016 FAOPMA conference are inviting pest managers to suggest speakers they’d like to see at the event.
The Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association (AEPMA) is pleased to be hosting the 27th FAOPMA Conference in 2016. FAOPMA is the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers Associations and we are expecting an exciting, multi-national conference with attendees from all over the region.
The event will be held 14-16 September 2016 at Sea World Resort and Conference Centre on the Gold Coast. The conference will be an exceptional opportunity for pest professionals, suppliers, distributors and academics to learn and discuss all aspects of pest control, make new contacts and build relationships.
AEPMA is looking for your help to identify the most innovative and exciting speakers for the event.
The theme of the conference is ‘Solving pest managers’ problems’. Speakers and papers should address core studies and examples of difficult or interesting pest control situations that required a little bit more initiative and know-how than your average job. The presentation may demonstrate the effectiveness of a particular product, or the innovative ideas of a pest management professional.
Presentations should be approximately 45 minutes in length with an additional 10-15 minutes for questions.
Speaker suggestions may include, but are not limited to:
- academics
- business owners
- technical experts
- consultants from within and outside the industry
- subject matter experts in sales, marketing, information technology, and human resources
- other ‘outside-of-the-box’ ideas that no one has seen in the past.
AEPMA welcomes both technical and business-related sessions. The information gathered in the application will help identify speakers and make decisions regarding the content of the program. Self-nominations are welcome.
Educational programs cannot be product or vendor-specific. Educational sessions proposed for the FAOPMA Conference may focus on specific technology, methodology, or theory, but not on a sole manufacturer or product.
