AEPMA has announced the venue of its 2018 conference, to be held from 19-21 September.
AEPMA is pleased to announce that its 2018 conference, Pest Management in a Changing Market, will be held from 19-21 September at the newly renovated Star Casino and Hotel on the Gold Coast.
The event offers pest managers a chance to take some time out to gain valuable insights into what’s happening in the industry and take away key learnings that can help them deliver improved service and performance in their businesses. AEPMA President Vasili Tsoutouras commented, “The Star Gold Coast will provide an ideal location and opportunity for members of the industry to come together to gain new ideas, new connections, insights into the ever-changing pest control market and to strengthen existing relationships.”
With increasing importance placed on the ability to connect with consumers in this digital world, AEPMA is pleased to announce that Steve Simpson, ‘Australia’s leading customer care guru’ will be presenting the keynote address. Mr Simpson is an internationally renowned speaker, consultant and author. An expert in customer care and communication, one of his talents is to educate companies on the advantages to be gained by giving outstanding customer service – and how this can positively affect the bottom line.
Over the past few years the pest management industry has focused on termite management, and has taken measures to clarify best practice for both pest managers and consumers alike. “The new standards and AEPMA codes of practice are essential knowledge for anyone in pest management who deals with termites and there is a dedicated session at the conference,” commented Mr Tsoutouras.
“More broadly, the 2018 conference is strongly focused on improving technical skills and understanding; it also, importantly, looks at how we can satisfy our clients by embracing new ideas in customer service and new skills. For this reason I would recommend members and, for that matter, non-members, to attend our 2018 conference,” concluded Mr Tsoutouras.
The conference opens on Wednesday September 19th with an evening reception sponsored by Syngenta. Thursday morning’s program will educate pest managers about legislation changes and the new Codes of Practice, looking at how they apply to real-life situations, while the afternoon examines termite work in today’s changing world. The second day concludes with BASF’s Pest Manager of the Year Awards gala dinner.
Friday morning’s rodent management session, sponsored by Ensystex, includes guest speakers from the UK, which leads into an afternoon looking at new pest technologies, and some insights from our current pest manager of the year, Laguna Pest Control. The conference concludes with evening drinks sponsored by FMC and the leadership dinner sponsored by Globe.
The event will also see some 30 exhibitors showing delegates the latest in products and technologies from Australia and overseas.
Situated on Broadbeach Island, The Star Gold Coast (formerly Jupiters Casino) offers award-winning restaurants, bars and the Pavilion convention Centre all within arm’s reach. Special AEPMA conference accommodation rates are available.
