Lawncare<\/h2>\r\nBefore dealing with any pests or weeds in lawns it is important to understand what type of grass<\/a> you have in your lawn (as this can impact potential treatments) and also understand the basics of turf care<\/a>.\r\n

Lawn Pests<\/h2>\r\nThe main insect pests in lawns include various species of ants, which includes biting ants in lawns<\/a>, such as the green-head ant<\/a> and tyrants ants<\/a>, and other lawn ants<\/a>, such as the infamous funnel ant<\/a>.\r\n\r\nThe other pests that concern gardens are the various caterpillars (moth larvae) and curl grubs<\/a> (beetle larvae). Weeds in Lawn<\/h2>\r\nWeeds in lawns are an ongoing issue for home gardeners. Correct identification of the weed is important to determine the best treatment, knowing whether it is a summer annual weed<\/a> or a broadleaf weed<\/a> is a good start.
