Greenzone Launches Termite Paint

Greenzone has announced a new product in its range of pre-construction termite solutions.

Greenzone has announced the release of its Termite Paint to the market, the latest addition to Greenzone’s comprehensive suite of termite system products.

“There was a need from our accredited installers to make Greenzone a one-stop-shop for products, which created an obvious opportunity to develop our own termite paint,” explained Brett Bowey, general manager of Greenzone Termite. “And we are not finished bringing in more products under the Greenzone name.”

The paint is easy to apply and is designed to be used in conjunction with Greenzone’s Backer Rod and Expansion Joint Foam in both pre- and post-construction scenarios, for both residential and commercial properties.

Greenzone Termite Paint contains a 2% concentration of bifenthrin, a chemical that has been proven to effectively repel pests, including termites. Consequently, the paint is intended to form an effective termite barrier for the lifetime of the building and is covered by the Greenzone $2 million warranty. The acrylic-based formulation of the paint also makes it durable and resistant to water damage. This ensures that the protective barrier remains intact even in challenging conditions.

Greenzone Termite Paint is easy to apply using various methods such as a brush, roller, or spray gun, providing flexibility to installers. It also dries quickly, allowing clients to resume their normal activities without delay. It is recommended to use a primer and apply two coats of the paint to provide optimal protection.

The 15 L pail size allows for coverage of large areas. This together with its affordability makes Greenzone Termite Paint a cost-effective solution for pest control, providing value for both installers and clients.

Greenzone’s Backer Rod complements the Termite Paint by filling larger gaps and entry points for protection against pests and termites. The Backer Rod can be used as a vertical and horizontal joint filler in concrete, masonry substrates between precast concrete panels, interior walls, sealing skylights, shop fronts and curtain wall construction. The Backer Rod should be painted with the Termite Paint after installation. Like the paint, it is chemically treated with bifenthrin. This system will stop the ingress of ants, cockroaches and termites into any structure where it is installed.

By offering Greenzone Termite Paint and Backer Rod to clients, pest managers can provide them with a reliable pest protection solution that is effective, long-lasting, and easy to use. It also offers flexible solutions in scenarios where construction has progressed past the ideal point for barrier installation whilst ensuring compliance with AS 3660.1 is still maintained.

Greenzone Termite Paint is also proudly Australian made and owned, ideal for customers wanting to support a local Australian business.
