JAY TURNER JOINS THE RAPIDS TEAM

Rapid Solutions welcomes Jay Turner to the team.

Rapid Solutions is delighted to appoint Jay Turner to the role of trainer with Rapid Training.

With 14 years of experience in pest management under his belt, Mr Turner has always been around critters. From owning an insect breeding business to his time spent as a zookeeper, his colourful past makes him the expert he is today.

During his time working as a teacher at the Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE in Fair eld Victoria, Mr Turner was given the privilege of picking the brains of some of the biggest names in the industry. It also provided the opportunity to train and interact with students from over 20 pest control companies each year, giving him a comprehensive overview of the training needs of pest managers.

Rapid Solutions CEO, Belinda Smith, said that Mr Turner was a fantastic addition to the Rapid Training team and a great resource for the sector.

“Jay is highly experienced and passionate about training and raising the bar to provide students with the support they need to thrive,” Ms Smith said.

Mr Turner owns and operates Laguna Pest Control, based in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, which was awarded Queensland Pest Manager of the Year 2016 and Australian Pest Manager of the Year in 2017. He is also a regular speaker at his local Probus, Rotary and conservation groups. In his spare time, he loves camping and researching rare reptiles then packing up the 4WD in search of the species.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back into the training side of things, as most people would know I have a real passion for this industry,” said Mr Turner. “I get a real kick out of sharing what I know with the students and giving them the fundamentals to become the professional pest managers of tomorrow. Rapids’ new training platform makes the most out of today’s modern technology, allowing the students to progress at their own pace. It allows me to give them any support they need, no matter where they live in Australia.”
