COMING SOON: EXTERRA EVER-READY TERMITE COLONY DEFENCE SYSTEM

Ensystex has announced its latest innovation in the termite management market: Exterra Ever-Ready, which will be available in early 2023.

Exterra Ever-ready is the latest advance in termite colony elimination from Ensystex. Exterra Ever-ready is designed to continuously safeguard homes, always ready and able to intercept and eliminate termite colonies from the moment of install, and every moment of every day thereafter.

Ensystex’s regional director, Steve Broadbent, explained how the system works. “Exterra Ever-ready uses Requiem Bait Disks, encased in a natural jute sack, to provide extended, continuously active protection. The APVMA has already approved the product, and it will be commercially available in the first quarter of 2023.”

New slimline EZ Stations

“The Requiem Bait Disks are designed for use with our new, slimline EZ Stations but, since there are hundreds of thousands of Exterra Quarterra In-ground Stations installed around Australia, a larger disk will be available for retro-fitting into these stations too,” Mr Broadbent added.

Exterra Ever-ready EZ Stations are installed around the perimeter of the property, offering immediate protection

Pre-baited Exterra Ever-ready EZ Stations are installed around a home to create a defensive shield. This means the system is active from the start and, since the bait is already pre-loaded in the station, it is fast for pest managers to install. Termites present in the vicinity of the home are intercepted, with the colony elimination process commencing as soon as the termites start feeding in the station.

Ever-ready creates a home defence shield

The stations are linked to each other by Focus Termite Attractant, which forms the Termite Interception Zone between each EZ Station, effectively linking them together and encircling each home to greatly improve its termite defences. Focus interacts with naturally occurring microbes in the soil to evolve a scientifically engineered concentration of carbon dioxide. This mimics the carbon dioxide given off naturally by the decaying timbers that termites feast upon. It creates a natural trail for termites to follow into the stations, thus defending against termites passing between stations, as can otherwise happen.

“With more than a dozen, peer-reviewed, published, scientific papers from leading researchers, pest managers can be confident in the efficacy of Requiem Termite Bait and Focus Termite Attractant,” Mr Broadbent commented.1

Requiem Ever-ready Bait Disk Sacks

After eliminating attacking colonies, fresh Requiem Disk Sacks are placed in the EZ Stations, so they continue to defend homes against future invasions, offering a long-term termite protection system with reduced environmental impact.

The Requiem Ever-ready Termite Bait Disk Sacks are made from natural jute

Requiem uses uniquely sourced, untreated, natural cellulose. “Unlike some baits our cellulose is not chemically treated, nor bleached to make it look white (and pretty), and it does not contain any plastic polymers. This is why termites love it so much. Our extensive field trials program, that formed part of the regulatory package for the APVMA, shows that Requiem Ever-ready maintains the high palatability that pest managers already know well with our existing Requiem Termite Bait,” noted Mr Broadbent.

“To protect the bait and ensure its longevity in the soil, the bait disks are encased in a natural jute sack. This further ensures a sustainable, natural solution for termite protection programs. Not only is it a more environmentally responsible solution than using plastic bait cartridges, the jute itself is edible to termites, and naturally breaks down in the environment over time.

“Exterra Ever-ready is an environmentally responsible solution that defends homes from termite infestations.”
